Miki Sudo, a dental hygiene student from Florida, made history by winning her 10th women’s title at the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. She set a new women’s world record by devouring 51 hot dogs and buns in just 10 minutes, surpassing her competitors including Mayoi Ebihara and Michelle Lesco.

The competition featured participants from various states and countries, with contenders from Brazil, Japan, the U.K., South Korea, Australia, and the Czech Republic vying for the top spot in both the men’s and women’s divisions. The prize money of $10,000 added to the intensity of the event.

On the men’s side, Pat Bertoletti emerged as the champion after consuming a whopping 58 hot dogs. However, the absence of 16-time champion Joey Chestnut was conspicuous this year. Chestnut, who recently signed a deal with Impossible Foods, was reportedly prohibited from competing due to his association with a rival of Nathan’s.

Instead, Chestnut will be facing off against soldiers at an Army base in El Paso, Texas. This unexpected turn of events has stirred up excitement and anticipation among fans of competitive eating.

Miki Sudo’s remarkable achievement at the contest showcases her dedication and talent in the world of competitive eating. Her record-breaking performance will be remembered as a highlight of this year’s event, inspiring aspiring contestants to push their limits and strive for greatness in the sport.
