It’s a tradition. Like every year, the candidates for the Miss France contest take part in the famous photo shoot in swimsuits during their trip to prepare for the election evening. This year, the ceremony will take place on December 17 at MACH 36 in Châteauroux and will, as usual, be broadcast on TF1.
If the members of the jury are not yet known, the theme of the evening has already been revealed: it will be cinema. Under the lens of photographer Laurent Vu, the 30 regional misses had the chance to shoot on the magnificent Saint-Anne beach, in Guadeloupe. If most of the candidates are in a bikini, some have chosen to bet on a one-piece like Miss Martinique, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Miss New Caledonia, Miss Poitou-Charente and Miss Tahiti.
For a week, the 30 candidates followed a busy schedule in preparation for the big election night. In particular, they took part in many group activities, followed classes in a good way and passed a general knowledge test. It is moreover Perrine Prunier, Miss Normandy 2022, who obtained the best score, with 17.5/20. She succeeds Youssra Askry as valedictorian. The latter was also Miss Normandy 2021. If a candidate gets a bad score in the general culture test, her chances of qualifying among the 15 finalists could be compromised. Cindy Fabre, recently appointed director of the Miss France contest, told TV Mag that the future national beauty queen “will have to rub shoulders with various media personalities up to elected officials in the provinces. You have to have conversation and repartee” .
