A federal grand jury in Dayton has recently indicted 14 members of the Thug Riders Motorcycle Club, which is considered an outlaw motorcycle gang, as per the U.S. Department of Justice. The indictment accuses the club of running a criminal enterprise where members and associates were involved in violent activities such as murder, arson, assault, extortion, and identity fraud. It is important to note that an indictment is merely an accusation and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The indictment, returned on June 11, led to the arrest of all 14 defendants by federal and local law enforcement officials. The members of the TRMC Dayton chapter were allegedly involved in various criminal activities, including blowing up a former member’s vehicle, committing a murder during a shootout, firing live rounds at a rival gang’s clubhouse, extortion, assault, and engaging in shootouts at different locations. The individuals charged in the indictment have been named along with their aliases, ages, and cities of residence.

Specifically, seven defendants, including Robles, Marshall, Peters, Fisher, Smith, Beach, and Henry, are charged with racketeering (RICO) conspiracy in count one of the indictment. The other counts in the indictment charge the defendants with assaults, attempted assaults, and conspiracy to commit assaults. The racketeering conspiracy charge carries a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison.

This indictment and subsequent arrests are part of an investigation by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force, indicating a coordinated effort by law enforcement agencies to tackle organized crime activities in the region. The charges brought against the motorcycle club members shed light on the serious nature of their alleged criminal activities and the potential consequences they may face if convicted.

It is crucial for the justice system to follow due process and allow the defendants to present their side of the story in a court of law. As the legal proceedings unfold, more details about the case and the evidence against the accused individuals are likely to emerge. The indictment serves as a reminder of the continued efforts to combat organized crime and uphold the rule of law in the community.
