(Sainte-Luce) The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is appealing to the public to gather information that could allow it to progress in its investigation into the murder of a 73-year-old man in Sainte-Luce, in the Bas -Saint-Laurent, in June 2023.

In a press release, the provincial police force specifies that it is asking for the public’s help in locating potential witnesses or “any person who may have information” relating to this homicide.

On June 16, 2023, around 11 a.m., the body of Georges Pelletier, a 73-year-old man from Rimouski, was found unresponsive in Sainte-Luce, on private land on the Route du Fleuve Ouest.

The man was pronounced dead on scene.

Nearly a year later, the SQ is asking for the public’s help to move forward with the investigation. She emphasizes that any information related to this event can be transmitted to its Criminal Information Center, at 1 800 659-4264.
