A mysterious monolith has been discovered in the desert north of Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s search and rescue unit near Gass Peak. The shiny, reflective structure is similar to one found in Utah years ago. The police department shared an image of the monolith on social media, highlighting the unusual find during their routine patrols of the area.
This recent discovery comes after a hiker in Wales captured footage of a similar “UFO”-like monolith on top of a hillside along the country’s border with England. Craig Muir, the hiker who recorded the video while hiking Hay Bluff near Hay-on-Wye, expressed his surprise at the mysterious object, comparing it to a UFO due to its strange appearance.
Interestingly, similar monoliths have been found in other locations around the world, including Belgium, Romania, and the Isle of Wight. These structures have sparked curiosity and speculation about their origin and purpose, with no definitive answers yet provided.
In November 2020, a monolith estimated to be between 10 and 12 feet high was discovered in a remote area of Utah by state wildlife employees counting sheep from a helicopter. The pilot, Bret Hutchings, described it as one of the strangest things he had encountered during his years of flying in the region. Despite investigations, no clear indication of who placed the monolith in the ground was found.
Shortly after the Utah discovery, another monolith was found in Atascadero, California, adding to the mystery surrounding these enigmatic structures. The identity of the individuals or group behind the placement of these monoliths remains unknown, with only a New Mexico artist collective claiming responsibility for similar installations in the past.
The appearance of these monoliths continues to puzzle and intrigue observers, sparking discussions about art, extraterrestrial phenomena, and human intervention in remote landscapes. As more of these structures are uncovered in various locations, the mystery surrounding their origin and purpose deepens, leaving many questions unanswered. The allure of the unknown and the unexpected nature of these discoveries add a sense of wonder and curiosity to the exploration of these strange monoliths scattered across the globe.
