A few days after the racism scandal on Sylt, another case is causing a stir. This time at a folk festival in Erlangen, Bavaria. There, young men shouted xenophobic slogans – again to DJ Gigi D’Agostino’s party hit “L’amour toujours”.
Two men chanted racist slogans to the song “L’amour toujours” by Italian DJ Gigi D’Agostino at the Erlanger Bergkirchweih. Other guests then called security, the police said on Saturday.
The suspects, aged 21 and 26, were banned from entering the festival grounds on Friday evening and state security initiated an investigation. They are said to have shouted “foreigners out”, as the “BR” writes. According to information from the station, the incident occurred in the “Altstädter Schießhaus” restaurant. The Erlangen Police Department is investigating. We are currently looking for witnesses who observed the incident and took pictures or videos.
Recently, a cell phone video made headlines across the country. It showed several young people shouting racist slogans to the same song in a bar on Sylt. In the video, which was just a few seconds long and went viral and was said to have been taken at Pentecost, you can see and hear young people shouting racist slogans to the tune of the more than 20-year-old party hit.
