(Las Vegas) The Canadiens made a trade this Friday to improve their position in the first round of the draft.

Holder of picks number 5 and 26, the Habs gave up their 26th first-round pick to the Los Angeles Kings, in addition to second-round (57th) and seventh-round (198th) picks. In return, the team received the Kings’ first-round pick at No. 21.

Following this transaction, the CH finds itself with 10 choices in the 2024 draft, the first round of which will take place this Friday evening in Las Vegas. The club management will speak twice in the first round and two more times in the third round.

The Buffalo Sabers and the San Jose Sharks had made such a trade the day before.
