Norfolk Community Days: A Guide to Free Activities and Events

Looking for some fun and free activities to enjoy in Norfolk? Well, you’re in luck because Norfolk Community Days is here! This event offers a variety of recreational and cultural activities for everyone to enjoy. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for you:

On Thursday, you can head over to HN Reach EarlyON Child and Family Centre in Port Rowan for the Grow with Us planting and play event from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Or, if you prefer swimming, check out the free open swim sessions at Delhi Kinsmen Pool and Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre in the evening. There’s also a free outdoor Family Movie Night screening of “Wonder” at Houghton Fairground Hall at 7 p.m.

Friday brings more excitement with a free barbecue for seniors at Simcoe Recreation Centre, free open swim at Delhi Kinsmen Pool, and a Family Splash Swim at Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre. Don’t miss out on the Fairgrounds Festival at Norfolk Fairgrounds too!

Saturday is packed with activities like the Waterford Lions Touch a Truck and BBQ event, Delhi BIA Strawberry Fest and Ford Mustang Car Show, and the 2nd annual Arbor Dog Races at Port Dover Harbour Museum. There’s also the Grand Opening Celebrations at Delhi Kinsmen Pool with free swims, live music, barbecue, and kids’ activities. And if you’re interested in a fire hall tour, head over to Norfolk County Fire Station 1 in Simcoe.

On Sunday, you can explore the Plant and Yard Sale at Simcoe and District Humane Society, join the Free Llama and Friends Walk at Sonny’s Llama Farm in Delhi, or participate in the Beach Day in Dover at Port Dover Beach. Wind-Del Park is also hosting the Wind-Del-ebration event with a magic workshop, bouncy castle obstacle course, Father’s Day Car-B-Que, and more.

Community Days is not the only event happening in Norfolk. The Norfolk County Agricultural Society’s Fairgrounds Festival features concerts by popular bands like Sam Roberts Band, 54.40, Theory of a Deadman, and Saint Asonia. Tickets are still available for these shows.
