Additionally, a Guys Fawkes mask and an orange MTA vest were recovered from his vehicle.
Chief of Department Jeffrey B. Maddrey emphasized the seriousness of the arrest, noting the amount of ammunition and NYPD-related items found in the suspect’s possession. The discovery of troubling messages etched into the baton, along with reports of extremist views expressed online, raised concerns about the suspect’s intentions.
The arrest took place after officers observed a black Ford Explorer with a concealed license plate, described as a “ghost vehicle,” in Queens.
