O.J. Simpson Accused of Physically Abusing Ex-Wife Marguerite in Nicole Brown Simpson Doc
In a shocking revelation in the first episode of Lifetime’s new documentary series, The Life & Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, a former police officer claims O.J. Simpson was physically abusive towards his first wife, Marguerite Whitley.
The episode features a now-retired Los Angeles police officer recalling a report of domestic violence at Whitley and Simpson’s home in the 1970s. The officer stated that Simpson had struck Marguerite and pulled out some of her hair during an argument.
Despite these claims, Marguerite’s sister refused to address reports of domestic violence during their marriage, stating that it is up to Marguerite to decide if she wants to make such allegations public.
While Marguerite has denied any domestic abuse by O.J. Simpson publicly, friends and family of Nicole Brown Simpson have long claimed that he was physically abusive towards her during their marriage. The couple shared two children before Nicole filed for divorce in 1992.
The documentary sheds light on the tumultuous relationships in O.J. Simpson’s life and the tragic murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1994. Simpson was acquitted of the killings in a highly publicized trial but found liable in a civil trial.
