(Montreal) An octogenarian accidentally drove over his wife twice in the parking lot of the Montreal University Hospital Center (CHUM) this Thursday morning. We no longer fear for our lives.
The event took place around 11:15 a.m. when a couple in their 80s were preparing to leave the CHUM parking lot.
According to the City of Montreal police service (SPVM), the victim fell to the ground accidentally. Without realizing the situation, the driver, aged 83, then reversed and drove over his wife for the first time.
He would then have felt “a bump” when maneuvering backwards and would therefore have put his vehicle in forward gear to park it. It was at this moment that he allegedly rolled over the victim a second time.
Considering the location of the accident, the victim was able to be quickly taken care of.
Specialist collision investigators were dispatched to the scene and the investigation is still continuing.
