AtkinsRéalis Group plans to sell its stake in the company that owns the 407 ETR toll road north of Toronto by the end of 2027.
The company formerly known as SNC-Lavalin announced the plan as part of an investor presentation outlining the company’s latest financial goals. The sale is part of its desire to focus on its engineering services and nuclear activities.
AtkinsRealis owns a 6.76% stake in 407 International Inc.
The other owners of the toll road are the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board with a 50.01% stake and Cintra Global S. E., a wholly owned subsidiary of Ferrovial S. A., with a 43% stake. 23%.
In its outlook, AtkinsRéalis indicates that it seeks to continue the expansion and growth of its margins.
The company says it will also aim to increase its investments in fast-growing markets, including launching initiatives in engineering services across the United States, utilizing its nuclear expertise and investing in mergers and accretive acquisitions.
