Plymouth diver Aidan Heslop triumphs in Boston

Plymouth native, Aidan Heslop, has bounced back to claim victory in the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series in Boston. The 22-year-old diver had a disappointing start to the season with a sixth-place finish in Greece, but he found his winning form once again at the location where he secured his first world series win two years ago.

Reflecting on his performance, Heslop admitted that he had put too much pressure on himself in Athens and decided to approach the Boston competition with a more relaxed mindset. This change in attitude seemed to have paid off, as he executed his dives flawlessly to clinch the top spot.

Competing from a height of 27m (88ft), Heslop, who began his diving journey in Plymouth at the age of eight, has been a prominent figure in the world series since joining at 16. With this victory under his belt, he now looks ahead to the upcoming European cliff diving event in Polignano a Mare, Italy after a three-week break.
