Several other residents were injured. According to the fire department on Platform X, a total of 54 people were injured. The victim of the fire died in the house despite immediate medical treatment, according to the police. The other injured people were taken to hospitals.
The police were unable to provide any further information about the fire in the Zentrum-Südost district because the operation was ongoing. The cause of the fire is still unknown. The criminal investigation department has begun investigations and a fire investigator will be called in.
