Police said that a firefighter from Stockton Fire Department was injured Monday morning. He was taken to hospital. In a post on social media, the Stockton Police Department stated that the firefighter was killed while working near Aurora and Washington streets. This fire is located just north of Highway 4. According to the post, officers detained a subject in relation to the shooting. Police wrote that there was no update on the condition of the firefighter. The investigation is still active.
