The blue-collar workers of Quebec are announcing other days of strike in July if no agreement is reached by then regarding the renewal of their collective agreement.

Their next walkout will take place from July 10 at 3 a.m. until July 15 “if necessary,” says the Canadian Union of Public Employees, affiliated with the FTQ, in a press release released Friday.

These blue-collar workers had already walked off the job for three days last week in order to increase pressure on the employer.

However, an intensive period of negotiation is planned. The union hopes this will break the deadlock in the talks.

The main points in dispute are salaries and work-life balance, reports the union.
