They are part of the 12 noon shots family. Since the creation of the show in June 2010, Jean-Luc Reichmann has welcomed more than 12,000 candidates on his set. Among these anonymous, some have succeeded in the feat of becoming midday master or mistress.
These champions of TF1’s flagship game show shone with their general knowledge, eliminating their rivals over the shows. For a few days, several months or almost a year of reign, some have broken records during their adventure. With more than 574 midday masters identified by production (in June 2022, editor’s note), Jean Reichmann’s show has completely changed their lives.
Like Bruno Hourcade, the greatest champion in the history of the 12 noon shots. “When I made the selections, I didn’t think I would be taken. I did it a little for fun and we’ll see what happens after,” admitted the only millionaire in the game to Planet. “Every time Zette reminds me of my kitty, it’s always a shock”.
Other candidates like Stéphane, Éric or even Paul El Kharrat have seen their lives turned upside down. The latter, now a writer and radio columnist, wanted to tell his story in several books published in bookstores. “I want to reach as many people as possible, to make them understand my personal journey”, explained to us the ex-champion suffering from autism in October 2022.
Each year, these famous champions return for the annual Combat des maîtres, orchestrated by host and actor Léo Mattéi. The opportunity to bring together ex-prodigies and recent winners, like Céline, the current reigning champion. “I hope not to be ridiculous during the Masters” slips us, by telephone, the candidate who hopes to go as far as possible. “The more I advance, the more I tell myself that it would be good if I manage to grab a few places, but that’s not an objective”.
This Saturday, July 8, the eight best champions will be decided for the Summer Party, with surprises and guests on TF1. In the meantime, Planet invites you to test your knowledge of the course of the famous champions of the show. Up to you !
