(Madrid) The house of Brazilian footballer Real Madrid Rodrygo was robbed overnight from Sunday to Monday, in a locality near the Spanish capital, police sources told AFP.
When the police arrived on the scene, they found “a forced door and several rooms upside down”, but the contents and value of the loot are unknown at this time.
This burglary took place a day after Real Madrid won 2-1 against Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final in Seville, where Rodrygo scored twice (2nd, 70th).
Rodrygo thus joins the list of players who have been robbed in the Spanish capital, like his teammates Dani Carvajal and Karim Benzema, whose house was robbed last year, when the former French international was on the pitch with Real Madrid against Elche.
In October 2019, the Spanish Civil Guard and Europol announced the dismantling of a network of burglars that targeted footballers from Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid.
The Spanish media then indicated that among the victims of this network of thieves were Benzema, but also the Brazilian Casemiro, then Real player, or the Ghanaian Thomas Partey, who was then playing at Atlético.
