The former president of the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM) Dominique Ollivier criticized on Tuesday the investigation by the Auditor General of Montreal relating in particular to her spending allocations.
Ms. Ollivier deplored not having been able to explain herself to the teams of Auditor General Andrée Cossette before she wrote her report.
“A fundamental principle of natural justice is that when we blame someone for something, we allow them to present their version of the facts,” she wrote on social media. “I have publicly and privately offered my collaboration to the VG. She chose not to hear me before concluding. For what ? »
The most recent annual report from the Auditor General of the City of Montreal highlights how the funds entrusted to the OCPM were spent between 2014 and 2021. The organization did not have a “rigorous management framework or an effective and formal external monitoring mechanism” to oversee the powers of its president, the Auditor General concluded. “This led in particular to expenses whose necessity and relevance could not be demonstrated.” The majority of meal expenses exceeded the scale applicable to the City of Montreal, according to the report.
Dominique Ollivier, now a municipal councilor in Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie, was not present at the municipal council to hear the presentation from General Auditor Andrée Cossette.
She refused to reveal the list of people met by her team, but assured that she had respected all procedures in drawing up her report on the OCPM.
