Ric Flair’s Take on Who Killed WCW
Vice’s recent pro wrestling documentary series has reignited the debate on who was responsible for the downfall of WCW. Wrestling legend Ric Flair, known for his iconic career in WCW and Jim Crockett Promotions, shared his thoughts on the matter on Twitter.
Flair pointed the finger at a “three-headed monster” consisting of Jim Herd, Eric Bischoff, and Vince Russo as the individuals responsible for the demise of WCW. He emphasized that it was the people in charge who created dysfunction, animosity, and ultimately led to the downfall of the promotion.
In response, Vince Russo, one of the accused, dismissed Flair’s claims and took a jab at Flair’s personal life. Flair fired back with a challenge, offering $20,000 each to Russo, Bischoff, and Herd to meet in either Tampa or Atlanta to settle the score.
While Russo had a lengthy response ready, he expressed regret for the animosity between them and clarified his intentions in his career, emphasizing his priority has always been his family.
The feud between Flair and Russo seems far from over, leaving fans wondering if there will be further developments in the future.
