Russell Wilson made an impressive debut with the Pittsburgh Steelers, leading his team to a 37-15 victory over the New York Jets on “Sunday Night Football.” While much of the focus was on Davante Adams reuniting with Aaron Rodgers, Wilson stole the show with a stellar performance.
Wilson threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with top receiver George Pickens and Van Jefferson. Running back Najee Harris also had a standout game, rushing for 102 yards and scoring a touchdown to cap off a great night for the Steelers.
Despite the Jets’ strong start with running back Breece Hall leading the way, the Steelers dominated the second half, outscoring the Jets 24-0 to secure the win. Former president Donald Trump, along with former Steelers stars Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, were in attendance to witness Wilson’s impressive debut.
As the Jets regroup for their upcoming game against the New England Patriots, Wilson has certainly made a strong case to remain the starting quarterback for the Steelers. It was a memorable night for Pittsburgh fans as they celebrated a convincing victory at home.
