According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia has attacked Ukraine with more than 2,400 guided bombs in the past three weeks alone. Russia has aimed 700 of them at Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, so far this month, Zelensky said in his evening speech. He called on the allies to quickly deliver military aid to defend the country.

According to Ukrainian authorities, several people were killed and dozens injured in an attack on Kharkiv on Saturday. According to authorities, the number of injured rose to 56 by the evening, including three children. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told X that three people had been killed when a Russian glide bomb hit a residential building. In the afternoon, there was talk of 19 injured people, later of 40.

Pictures showed severe damage to the building. Zelensky condemned the new act of destruction by Russian terrorists. He expressed his condolences to the relatives and once again called for Western help.

“Russian terror with glide bombs must and can be stopped,” said Zelensky. This requires determination and decisions from the allies to protect the lives of the people in the country from Russian missile terror.

Zelensky had repeatedly called for more air defense systems. Above all, the bases near the border on Russian territory from which the missiles were fired had to be destroyed, he said.

Kharkiv, which is not far from the Russian border, has been the target of massive Russian attacks for months. Civilian objects are repeatedly hit there. Dozens of civilians have already been killed or injured.
