A collision between two vehicles left four injured Saturday morning on the Samuel-De-Champlain bridge towards the South Shore.

Around 6:40 a.m., emergency services were dispatched to a collision involving two vehicles at kilometer 55.5 in Brossard.

For an as yet undetermined reason, the driver of one of the vehicles, a Laval resident in his twenties, allegedly hit the second vehicle in which there were two women in their fifties. They were transported to a hospital and their lives are not believed to be in danger.

The driver of the first vehicle was accompanied by a passenger who had to be transported to hospital for “serious injuries” and is currently in “critical condition”. The driver suffered “minor injuries”.

Collision investigation reconstructionists as well as an investigator are on site to clarify the causes and circumstances of this accident. A lane of traffic has since been reopened.
