Former priest Brian Boucher found guilty of touching and sexually assaulting minors will not be released, the Parole Board rules. The man in his sixties faces new charges in connection with the sexual assault of a young co-inmate during his period of imprisonment.
Priest Brian Boucher was sentenced in 2019 to serve an eight-year prison sentence for sexually assaulting two boys aged 13 and 14.
Brian Boucher allegedly committed acts of a sexual nature towards a younger inmate during his time behind bars. He faces three counts of sexual assault, voyeurism and criminal harassment in connection with this case. The events allegedly occurred in February 2023. His return to court is scheduled for next month.
According to the facts summarized in the Commission’s decision, the victim “locked herself in her cell to avoid harassment” from the ex-priest thereafter. The latter allegedly insisted and continued to follow him while he was taking a shower, despite warnings from his fellow inmate. The alleged attacker would have been removed from his sector for this reason.

Another disturbing event took place in the late 1990s. Brian Boucher broke into the home of a victim whom he had tried to contact several times by telephone, according to the Commission’s decision. She, fearing the priest, hid in a closet. Boucher allegedly sexually assaulted him. However, the case did not lead to charges, according to the decision.
Boucher had denied several of these actions, insisting that he had never been to the hotel. He had, however, admitted to the touching. After his sentence, he continued to deny the acts committed.
