After traveling through twelve different countries, a travel influencer named ‘Em’ has taken to TikTok to share her opinion about an often overlooked European country: Montenegro. She describes the Balkan country as her absolute favorite travel destination because of its stunning beaches, rich culture and friendly locals.
Em visited Montenegro in 2023 when she took a nine-day trip around the country and returned completely delighted. She flew to Podgrica airport and spent the first week in an Airbnb in Budva, the British Mirror reports.
She described Mogren Beach as the best in the city with incredibly clear water. She said she was surprised by how few tourists she found there, even though she thought the area was breathtakingly beautiful.
In addition to the landscape and the beaches, Em was also impressed by the local gastronomy. She praised the variety and quality at affordable prices.
In the second half of her trip, she visited Kotor, a historic town nestled between the cliffs of Mount Lovćen. Despite the slightly higher prices, she recommended the place as worth a visit, especially for cat lovers, as it has a free cat museum and cat park. She called Montenegro the highlight of her 2023 travel year.
