(Montmeló) Dutchman Max Verstappen seized first position during the first laps to win the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday.
Starting second, Verstappen overtook Lando Norris (McLaren), holder of the leading position, from the first corner, but George Russell (Mercedes) managed to overtake the two men from the outside to temporarily take the lead.
It only took a few turns for the three-time world champion to overtake Russell and then no one was able to threaten him. He triumphed for a seventh time in 10 races this season.
Norris and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) completed the podium.
Quebecer Lance Stroll settled for 14th position after starting from 14th place on the starting grid. His Aston Martin teammate Fernando Alonso finished 12th.
The F1 circus will now move to Spielberg for the Austrian Grand Prix, which takes place next week.
