A young black bear is tranquilized and removed after entering a suburban area in Pennsylvania.

A young black bear that entered a residential area in the suburb of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday had an unexpected and unusual experience. According to AP, the bear was tranquilized by wildlife officials, police and firefighters and caught on a large blue tarp held by the officials.

The bear appeared unexpectedly at lunchtime in a residential area of ​​Camp Hill, not far from the capital city of Harrisburg. A nearby high school ordered its students and staff to stay in the building. A section of the street was temporarily closed.

Rescue workers used a ladder truck to get close to the bear and tranquilize it. The tranquilized bear fell about 20 feet into the blue tarp that was provided. After the fall, the bear was tranquilized again and then moved to a bear trap attached to a trailer, according to the AP news agency.

The bear does not appear to be fully grown yet. Wildlife officials said they will likely relocate the bear to state land in central Pennsylvania. Details have not yet been released by the game commission.
