A school bus carrying a dozen young people was involved in an accident Thursday morning in the Stanstead East sector, in Estrie.
Around 7:25 a.m., the bus was traveling on Route 143 when it was struck by a car which left its lane for an as yet unknown reason. Both vehicles then rolled several times.
Luckily, no one was seriously injured. One of the young people on the bus was taken to hospital with leg injuries.
According to Louis-Philippe Ruel, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, the passengers on the bus were aged 8 to 16.
“We will try to understand the circumstances that led to this incident. Everyone who was involved was taken care of afterward so they could get on with their day,” he adds.
