The festival season is in full swing and Rock am Ring is attracting thousands of people to the Nürburgring to party this June weekend. For safety reasons, however, there are strict rules about what can and cannot be taken onto the site.
Before more than 70 bands perform on the Rock am Ring stages this weekend and the fans celebrate to the music, there will be a bag check – as at every festival!
To prevent dangerous situations from arising, numerous items are not permitted on the festival grounds. Visitors who do not follow the rules may be refused entry.

However, what you are allowed to take with you when you enter the Rock am Ring festival grounds is your smartphone, keys and your wallet. Empty, foldable drinking bottles are also permitted. You can transport these items in so-called clear bags.
This means that the backpack (smaller than A4) or bum bag must be transparent. If you want to lock up your valuables instead of leaving them in the tent or car, you can store them safely in safe boxes in front of the main entrance.
