Despite a controversial gender test issue that led to Lin’s disqualification from the 2023 Women’s Boxing World Championships, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) defended Lin’s participation in the Games, along with Algeria’s Imane Khelif. The IOC criticized the International Boxing Association (IBA) for their arbitrary decision to disqualify the athletes without due process.
