The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office announced that a 3-year-old boy, who had gone missing in east Texas Wednesday, was found alive and well just five miles from his home around noon Saturday.

Christopher Ramirez’s grandmother and mother were loading their car at the home of the family Wednesday afternoon when the toddler vanished. A neighbor also saw him chase a dog down the street. According to Fox 26 Houston

Ramirez was found Saturday by a person who lives near him.

Don Sowell, Grimes County Sheriff, said Saturday that Christopher was found about five miles away.

“He was in good condition, good health. He is being examined now. He is on his way to the hospital and is drinking lots of water. His mom is there with him.”

Grimes County Judge Joe Fauth stated that the woods around the area are so dense, “Davy Crocket would’ve had trouble getting through them.”

“I made a crack yesterday. Fauth stated that he had promised to solve the problem by Saturday at 2 p.m. “Well, thank you, dear Lord. We solved it two hours earlier than expected and it ended with the best possible ending that we could have hoped for.”
