The Montreal Alouettes have agreed to a three-year contract with three draft picks at the last Canadian player auction, including Quebec defensive back Maxym Lavallée.
Offensive lineman Theo Grant and fullback Jacob Mason are the other two players signed Wednesday.
Lavallée, a five-foot-nine, 185-pound football player, participated in the team’s last training camp, before playing seven games with the Rouge et Or de l’Université Laval, where he played a fifth season in 2023 The eighth-round pick, 68th overall, had 20 solo tackles and 10 assisted tackles, in addition to knocking down two passes.
Grant (six-foot-four, 280 pounds) also participated in the Alouettes’ last camp. The fourth-round pick (32nd) spent four campaigns with the Queen’s University Golden Gaels, which included the best running back in the country in 2023.
Finally, Mason (six-foot-two, 240 pounds) was the Alouettes’ fifth-round pick last May (39th overall). He played in the club’s two preparatory matches before being inserted into the training squad.
