(Paris) Paris Saint-Germain invited the media to a press conference on Wednesday at the new training center in Poissy (Yvelines), which supports the hypothesis of an imminent announcement concerning the arrival of Luis Enrique on the Paris bench.
The invitation sent for the press point, Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the PSG Campus, certainly gives no indication of its purpose. Difficult, however, not to associate it with the change of coach expected this week.
The Parisian management reached an agreement with Christophe Galtier on Tuesday to end his contract, one year from the term originally planned, several media reported, including L’Équipe and Le Parisien. “Everything is settled,” a source close to the negotiations confirmed to AFP.
This was one of the last hurdles to overcome before announcing his successor. The choice of the Qatari owner QSI fell on Luis Enrique, the former coach of Barça and coach of Spain.
After stepping down as La Roja boss last December, “Lucho”, a 53-year-old technician with a strong character, was back in the market.
Other announcements regarding the arrival of several players at PSG next season, including Marco Acensio, Lucas Hernández, Manuel Ugarte or Milan Škriniar, should also take place.
