The books: Ce je sais de toi, by Éric Chacour (Alto), Le Salon, by Oscar Lalo (Plon), Vivre vite, by Brigitte Giraud (Flammarion), Ceci n’est pas un fait divers, by Philippe Besson ( Julliard), and When you listen to this song, by Lola Lafon (Stock), are the five finalists for the annual prize from the Club des Irrésistibles des Bibliothèques de Montréal.
The finalists for this 16th edition were chosen from the 532 literary favorites of the reading club members in 2023. The winner will be announced next April.
Last spring, Alain Farah’s novel A Thousand Secrets, a Thousand Dangers won the prize.
Created in 2007 by Marie-Anne Poggi, the Club des Irrésistibles des Bibliothèques de la Ville de Montréal was born in the form of a local reading club before extending its activities throughout the network of Libraries of the City of Montreal. Montreal and to become, in 2009, an online club which now has thousands of members from Quebec, Canada and France, as well as other European countries, North Africa and the United States.
