(Rochester) Brandon Biro hit the target in the second period, Malcolm Subban stopped 29 shots and the Rochester Americans beat the Laval Rocket 2-0 on Wednesday.
Biro hit the mark at 3:49 of the second period as the Americans were shorthanded.
Lukas Rousek added an empty-net goal for the Americans (28-24-5) with 22 seconds left in the game.
Cayden Primeau made 30 saves in net for the Rocket (24-25-10), which suffered a second loss in a row.
The Rocket will play its next two games against the Utica Comets on Friday and Saturday at Place Bell.
