Tigers’ Scoreboard Trivia Takes a Swipe at Aaron Rodgers

The Detroit Tigers emerged victorious against the Milwaukee Brewers with a score of 10-2 at Comerica Park on Sunday. However, the real excitement came during a break in the game when the scoreboard operator decided to have some fun at the expense of former rival Aaron Rodgers, who previously played for the Green Bay Packers, while showing support for the Detroit Lions.

A trivia question was displayed on the scoreboard, featuring photos of Aaron Rodgers and Lions linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin, asking fans in attendance, “Who had the most completions last season?” This playful jab was shared on social media by WXYZ sportscaster Brad Galli.

As many NFL fans are aware, Aaron Rodgers did not complete any passes last season due to an Achilles injury in the Jets’ Week 1 game against the Buffalo Bills. On the other hand, Reeves-Maybin managed to complete a pass during the Lions’ Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys on a fake punt play.

Detroit fans enjoy taking playful jabs at their rivals, and the trivia question surely brought some laughter to everyone at Comerica Park. However, Rodgers can still boast about his impressive career stats, including an 18-8 record against the Lions, 6,551 passing yards, and 54 touchdowns in 26 games against Detroit.

While Packers fans may argue that Rodgers has a Super Bowl win under his belt, unlike the Lions who have never made it to the big game, the NFC North rivals may have a chance to settle the score on the field in the upcoming season.

Interestingly, the Lions and Jets are not set to face each other until 2026, unless a Super Bowl matchup changes the game plan altogether. It seems like the playful banter between teams and fans will continue until they meet again on the field.
