(Montreal) Montrealers are invited to an open house on Saturday at city hall, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., to mark its reopening after five years of major work.
Family activities, entertainment and musical performances are planned.
“Citizens will also have the chance to stroll through the town hall and admire the architecture of this emblematic place, in addition to discovering the new spaces accessible to the public,” indicates a press release published Friday evening by the City of Montreal.
Entrance is via Place Vauquelin on Rue Notre-Dame Est.
The work on Montreal city hall cost 211 million. The renovation of this building, while preserving its heritage character, began in 2019.
