A woman fell into the Rhine near Rheinfelden (Lörrach district) and died. Despite immediate rescue efforts, the 37-year-old could only be recovered dead, police said.
She assumes it was an accident. The woman fell into the river near a hydroelectric power station on Tuesday. According to current information, the woman was sitting on a railing of the weir and had her photo taken when she probably lost her balance and fell down the weir into the Rhine.
