An argument broke out among a group of young people near a Laval metro station on Wednesday evening. The authorities do not exclude that the altercation during which two victims were stabbed is linked to street gangs.
The Laval Police Service (SPL) received the call on Wednesday around 7:15 p.m. On site, officers noticed that two young people aged 20 and 21 had been stabbed during an altercation between several individuals, summarizes the agent Stéphanie Beshara, police force media relations.
According to our information, one of the two victims is known to the police and is linked to street gangs in the Saint-François sector, in Laval.
The suspects fled shortly after the fight. Both victims were taken to hospital for treatment of significant injuries. “However, we do not fear for their lives,” confirms Agent Beshara.
