Exceptional Year for Estacades Structure with Impressive Talent
The Estacades structure had an exceptional year with a weekend full of success. The M18 AAA Estacades, M17 Espoir Estacades, and the young Estacades all had reasons to celebrate. Frédéric Lavoie, the director of the integrated Estacades structure, expressed his joy for the talented players.
Among the seven initial selections, players like Benjamin Cossette-Ayotte (Val-d’Or Foreurs), Chad Lygitsakos (Shawinigan Cataractes), and Enzo Lottin (Victoriaville Tigres) were picked early on, setting the tone for the rest of the weekend.
The abundance of promising players in the M18 AAA Estacades led to some players not being able to join the team this year. However, this did not stop them from finding success in the QMJHL. Players like Zack Payette and Liam Boisclair were able to showcase their skills and were drafted by QMJHL teams.
The local Cataractes team also showed their support for the Estacades structure by drafting three players from the team. This support and recognition from local teams like the Cataractes highlight the talent present in the Mauricie region.
