A newlywed couple from Los Angeles recently shared the exciting details of their destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Misaki and Amir Hajimirsadeghi, who have known each other for 11 years, tied the knot in April of 2024 after getting engaged in December of 2022.
The couple, who met while studying at the University of California, wanted a wedding where they could have all their loved ones in one place while being mindful of their budget. With a budget of $100,000, they booked the Nobu Hotel in Mexico and invited 75 guests to join them for a weekend of celebrations.
Misaki, who works in finance, described the wedding as “the best vacation,” having all her friends and family in one place. She also mentioned that it was “the most perfect day” for them. Despite their initial budget, the final cost of the wedding came to just over $80,000, with the most significant expenses being catering and drinks, totaling almost $29,000.
In addition to the catering costs, the couple also incurred expenses for tables, chairs, linens, flatware, a wedding planner, flowers, a photographer, and a videographer. They also included special touches like a champagne tower, fireworks, a second dress for the bride, a seating chart, welcome bags for guests, and the help of a content creator.
Misaki emphasized that their goal was to have an affordable wedding that brought their family and friends together. Despite being surrounded by extravagant million-dollar weddings, they were able to have a beautiful celebration without breaking the bank.
