After the heatwave, the storms. Environment Canada has in fact issued a severe thunderstorm watch on Thursday for Greater Montreal and Estrie, while the intense heat wave will continue to affect most of Quebec.
The federal agency predicts that the storm will begin in the afternoon, around 2 p.m., and last until Friday night. The chance of showers is also estimated to be 60% to 80%, depending on the region.
The rain is expected to continue overnight, before ending Friday morning.
At the same time, all of Quebec will once again be entitled to high temperatures on Thursday. In Montreal, a maximum of 32°C is expected, and 41°C taking into account the humidex factor.
The heat and humidity will decrease from Friday, underlines Environment Canada.
