A video of a woman screaming at a toddler outside of Vice President Kamala Harris’ celebrity-packed Houston rally is going viral on social media as critics slam the shocking behavior seen toward a child.

Harris’ Texas rally on Friday was attended by celebrities such as Beyoncé, Jessica Alba, and Willie Nelson, who gathered to make a last-minute appeal to voters in the red state ahead of the upcoming election.

In the video posted on social media after the event, a woman in a light blue T-shirt can be seen standing outside what seems to be the Houston Metro station. She walks over to a little girl in a stroller among the crowd of people wearing Harris-Walz apparel. The woman in the light blue shirt leans down to the toddler in the stroller and starts screaming in her face. It is unclear what the woman said and what led to the incident.

A man, likely the young girl’s father, quickly picks up the toddler and removes her from the woman’s direct line of anger. Another woman then steps in, confronting the screaming woman, pulling her away from the girl, and scolding her for the outburst. “Not at the baby, not at the baby,” the intervening woman is heard saying.

The girl’s father, who was holding a microphone during the exchange, asks the screaming woman, “Are you not ashamed at all? Look at her face!” It is uncertain if the father was a counter-protester at the rally or why he had a microphone.

The video has gained over 22 million views on social media as of Monday morning. Social media users criticized the woman for screaming at the toddler while praising the woman who intervened.

Harris’ rally, which attracted 30,000 people, was expected to feature a performance by Beyoncé. Although the pop star endorsed Harris during her appearance, she did not sing any songs.

Before the rally, media outlets reported that Beyoncé would likely perform, sparking controversy when she did not. The Trump campaign accused Harris of lying about Beyoncé’s appearance to attract a larger crowd.

During his own rally in Michigan, Trump criticized Harris’s event, highlighting Beyoncé’s brief appearance and the disappointment of attendees expecting a performance. He contrasted his rallies, where people come without needing buses, to Harris’s alleged use of buses to transport attendees.

The incident at Harris’s rally involving the woman screaming at the toddler has raised questions about appropriate behavior at political events and the use of celebrity endorsements to draw crowds. It serves as a reminder of the intense emotions and divisions present in the current political landscape.
