JORDI ALBA scored a stunning volley against Atletico Madrid to draw Barcelona level in La Liga. It was a fast start to the clash.
Yannick Carrasco led the Spanish champions after eight minutes. Luis Suarez then squared for him, allowing him to return home and silence the Nou Camp.
Barcelona was leveled less than two minutes later, in sensational fashion.
Dani Alves crossed a crossfield ball to Alba right inside the penalty area. The Spaniard hit a magnificent strike into the top corner.
One social media user reacted to the strike by saying: “That’s an incredible goal by Jordi Alba, to bring Barcelona level with Atletico Madrid!”
Another comment: “Holy s**t Jordi Alba just scored a LUDICROUS Volley!!”
A third participant said that the technique on the volley was one of the most impressive goals he’d ever seen.
“Take a bow Jordi Alb.”
It was a link-up between Alba & Alves, which we hadn’t seen in six years after the Brazilian left in 2016.
They are now back together after Alves returned from January’s transfer window.
Barca would lead at half-time, as another returning signing provided an assist.
Adama Traore ex-Wolves player, crossed for Gavi to head into a corner to give the hosts the lead.
Barca was not satisfied.
They made it 3-1 just before the break when Ronald Araujo scored a rebound after Gerard Pique had hit the crossbar with his header.
