All parts of England will see wind this weekend. However, an amber warning has been issued in some areas due to its severity.

The weather is expected to improve as we move into next week. This will be when the North-South divide and the South’s milder temperatures will be apparent.

For Saturday, Sunday, and Monday in the North of Scotland and the rest of Scotland, amber and yellow warnings have been issued.

The South West will have the mildest temperatures and the North East the coldest.

Met Office expects temperatures to be milder than average for this time of year, with just some colder spells possible, most likely in Northern parts.

Here are the current outlooks for your area.

Scotland

Tonight will be cloudy and mild with some drizzle or light rain on the western hills. Wind is also expected, particularly in the North. There will be gales along the coasts and hills and then severe gales throughout parts of Scotland.

On Saturday, rain will move southeastwards through the UK. Then it will be followed by sunny skies and showers in North. Gales in Scotland will continue to be severe.

The forecast for Sunday through Tuesday includes snow, but it is possible to see rain or showers.

Storm Malik will bring strong winds and disruption to eastern Scotland on Saturday. An amber warning will also be in effect.

North West

Despite foggy conditions at the beginning of the day, the North West is now shining brightly throughout the day.

It will be cloudy overnight, becoming increasingly windy with occasional drizzle and light rain over the hills.

Expect temperatures to remain at least 6 C, which is comfortably warmer than last night.

On Saturday morning, rain will be scattered. However, it should clear by the afternoon. The North will bring brighter skies and sunny spells. It will be mildly windy with a maximum temperature at 10 C.

Sunday will be dry, with showery rain in the evening. Monday will be colder and sunny with some rain on Tuesday.

North East

The North East will be even colder with temperatures hovering between 7C-9C.

The area is expected to see heavy rain and gales. There’s also a yellow warning for wind from Saturday through Monday.

Today has been mild after a foggy start. Winds are strengthening, however.

Overnight, you can expect to see gales with some drizzle.

Saturday will have some sunshine and will be clearer, but temperatures will remain cold with a maximum temperature of 11C.

Sunday will start cold and frosty, with sunny spells later in the day. Monday will be breezy and cold, while Tuesday will bring rain and wind before it gets milder.

Midlands

The Midlands were hit with frost and fog, but today there is some sunshine.

Overnight, it’s likely to be cloudy with drizzle. It will be milder than last night with temperatures well above freezing.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy and dry, but there will be some rain that will move South. It is expected to be mild and windy with highs around 12C.

Sunday will be dry, but there could be some rain in the evening. Monday will see a temperature drop, but sunny spells will be possible.

On Tuesday, there will be sunshine and showers. It will also windy at times.

South West

The sky will slowly cloud over this afternoon, with some drizzle possible in the evening. The temperature will reach a maximum of 12C.

Tonight’s temperatures will be comfortably above freezing at 8C, and much warmer than last night.

Saturday will be cloudy with some sunny spells, but otherwise it will be very mild for this time of year. Temperatures will reach 14C.

Showery rain will fall on Sunday evening, while sunny spells will prevail Monday. On Tuesday, the rain will stop and there will be sunshine. It will also windy.
