With nearly two weeks to go before the Women’s Soccer World Cup kicks off, Orange has gone to great lengths to break down prejudices and prove that women’s soccer is just as spectacular as its male counterpart.
In a commercial titled “The crazy actions of the French team that we have all forgotten”, the company has concocted a montage in which we see almost a minute of highlights of spectacular actions carried out by the men’s team. .
However, it is not really Kylian Mbappé, Antoine Griezmann or Kingsley Coman who execute the feints, the spectacular passes and the goals. The faces of the male stars were affixed to those of their female counterparts.
These jewels were instead accomplished by Sakina Karchaoui, Delphine Cascarino and the other members of the women’s national team. Thus, the viewer finds himself realizing that the women score equally impressive goals.
The video has over a million views on YouTube and is used to boost the competition which will begin on July 20.
