Juan Percowicz, an 85-year-old accountant turned self-help guru, founded the Buenos Aires Yoga School (BAYS) to offer spiritual guidance and ancient philosophy teachings to his followers. However, what started as a promising venture has now turned into a legal battle as Juan and several BAYS members face criminal charges for allegedly running a sex cult under the guise of a yoga school.

Prosecutors claim that BAYS exploited and manipulated female members, coercing them into prostitution and laundering the profits through real estate investments. The organization allegedly drugged some women, forcing them to engage in sexual activities for financial gain. Additionally, BAYS operated an underground clinic where members were administered drugs to induce prolonged sleep, sometimes as a form of punishment.

Ricardo Juri, the lead investigator on the case, expressed shock at the level of operation within BAYS, stating that while cults are not uncommon, the extent of exploitation and abuse seen in this case is unprecedented.

The allegations against the Buenos Aires Yoga School have raised serious concerns about the exploitation and manipulation of vulnerable individuals in the name of spiritual enlightenment. It serves as a reminder to always exercise caution and critical thinking when joining any organization or following a charismatic leader promising salvation or enlightenment.

It is essential to conduct thorough research, ask questions, and seek advice from trusted sources before committing to any group or organization. Remember that true spiritual growth and enlightenment should never come at the expense of your safety, well-being, or dignity.
