Air Canada Renews Partnership with Canadian Olympic & Paralympic Committees Until 2030
Air Canada proudly announces the renewal of its partnership as the Official Airline of Team Canada until 2030, encompassing the next four Olympic and Paralympic Games, including Paris 2024. The airline unveiled a special Boeing 777 livery to kick off a series of Olympic and Paralympic-themed activities.
In a statement, Air Canada’s President and CEO, Michael Rousseau, expressed the airline’s honor in extending the partnership with the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Committees. The commitment includes transporting over 1,000 Team Canada athletes and delegation members to the Paris 2024 Games, ensuring a seamless travel experience.
The Canadian Olympic Committee CEO, David Shoemaker, lauded Air Canada’s longstanding dedication to Team Canada, emphasizing the exceptional travel experience provided to athletes. The Canadian Paralympic Committee CEO, Karen O’Neill, commended the airline for its support in facilitating efficient journeys for Paralympic athletes.
Air Canada’s support extends to offering special services for Team Canada athletes, including complimentary Aeroplan Elite status through its Podium Program and individual Care & Share packages for added comfort during flights. The airline will also have a significant presence at Canada Olympic House and Canada Paralympic House in Paris.
Additionally, Air Canada announced 10 Team Air Canada athlete ambassadors who exemplify Canadian values and sporting excellence. The airline’s commitment to Canadian sports is further highlighted through partnerships with Swimming Canada and Athletics Canada.
