Empowering Women: Celebrating Remarkable Women in 2025
In Southern Colorado, nominations for the annual Remarkable Women Contest will be opening soon, and FOX21 News is calling on the community to help honor the amazing women who make a positive impact in the region every day. Starting on Tuesday, Nov. 12, nominations will be accepted until Dec. 20, 2024.
A total of 125 outstanding women will be chosen as nominees for their acts of kindness, achievements, and influence on the community. These women will be recognized at a special event in Los Angeles. Nominees can look forward to:
– A trip to the National Celebration Event in Los Angeles, with VIP treatment that includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation
– Exclusive events with other Remarkable Women
– National and local media coverage, as well as promotion on digital and social media platforms
– The possibility of being featured on a national TV program on the CW Television Network, NewsNation, and television stations in 116 cities across the country
The Nexstar Charitable Foundation will also be making donations to support the causes of the nominees, including:
– A $1,000 donation to the chosen 501(c)(3) nonprofit of all 125 nominees
– Five Regional Finalists will each receive an additional $5,000 for their selected nonprofit organization
– The Remarkable Woman of the Year will be awarded $25,000 for the nonprofit organization that means the most to her
All 125 nominees will be recognized at a glamorous awards dinner and ceremony in Los Angeles, where one exceptional woman will be named Nexstar’s Remarkable Woman of the Year.
To nominate a woman for this prestigious award, she must have made a significant impact in the following areas:
– Community contribution
– Personal achievements
– Demonstration of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit
