Johnson Controls Unveils New Global Data Centre Solutions Division

Johnson Controls has recently announced the launch of a specialized Global Data Centre Solutions organization in response to the growing demand for integrated, energy-efficient data centre solutions accompanied by top-notch service.

Heading this newly established entity is Todd Grabowski, who has been appointed as the president of Global Data Centre Solutions. With over three decades of experience at Johnson Controls, Grabowski will report directly to Chairman and CEO George Oliver. Previously serving as the vice president and general manager for HVACR, a role he will continue to oversee, Grabowski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.

Chairman and CEO George Oliver expressed, “Over the last few years, we have been investing and building momentum in the data centre market to establish Johnson Controls’ leading position. It is clear our offering is resonating with customers, and we are now taking further steps to capture the growth opportunity ahead of us. Todd and his team will prioritize offering our full suite of smart building technologies—coupling our unique set of energy-efficient, sustainable, and safe data centre solutions with unmatched service—to meet increasing demand and drive Johnson Controls’ continued growth and value creation.”

Johnson Controls’ array of products and solutions have already been implemented in some of the world’s most demanding data centres. The company provides a distinctive portfolio of integrated solutions aimed at reducing costs, maximizing efficiency, and optimizing timing for data centre owners. Through continuous innovation efforts and strategic advantages, the company believes it is well-equipped to seize the rapid growth in the data centre market.

Noteworthy strategic advantages of Johnson Controls include pioneering technologies in air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, which support the ongoing surge in cooling demand. Moreover, substantial investments in Research and Development (R&D) and state-of-the-art test laboratories enable the company to accelerate the pace of innovation by designing, building, testing, and demonstrating equipment performance.

An essential element of Johnson Controls’ strategy is establishing superior domain expertise to deliver comprehensive package solutions that yield results while providing service throughout the entire lifecycle of assets. Todd Grabowski emphasized, “Solving customer problems today and in the future is what we do best at Johnson Controls. We have optimized our investments and solutions to ensure we are uniquely qualified to provide the differentiated outcomes data centre customers need and expect from an industry leader like Johnson Controls. Our global footprint allows us to scale and deploy these solutions wherever they are needed and foster long-term connections with customers through our unparalleled service offerings.”
